Draft General Plan

The Thousand Oaks General Plan 2045 is a long-range plan that guides decision-making for the future social, economic, and physical development of the city. The 2045 General Plan process, which began in Fall 2019, included dozens of events where community input was solicited and encapsulates months of community visioning, land use alternatives analysis, and policy planning.  The Plan reflects the community’s vision for the future and is intended to provide direction through 2045. To implement the vision, the Plan sets forth a comprehensive set of goals, policies, and actions around land use, mobility, environmental justice, conservation, and more.

The Draft document is available for review and comment by the community through September 15, 2023.
