Workshops

Public workshops will be held during the General Plan Update process. The format and activities of each workshop will reflect a specific topic and stage in the General Plan Update process and will provide opportunities for residents and stakeholders to come together and provide feedback.

Community Forums

Community Forums provide an opportunity to delve deeper into key topics and share insights on the latest land use, circulation, development changes, and market trends affecting Thousand Oaks and the region.

Stakeholder Meetings

In addition to larger, city-wide events, the consultant team will sit down with smaller targeted groups and individuals of the Thousand Oaks community to hear feedback on specific topics. These meetings will be conducted over the course of the General Plan Update process.

General Plan Advisory Committee

A diverse twenty-four-member committee has been formed composed of residents, business owners, educators, students, and other members of the Thousand Oaks community who will meet and collaborate to provide insight throughout the City’s General Plan Update process. These meetings are open to the public to observe, comment, and participate in activities.

Public Meetings

The City Council and Planning Commission will hold a variety of study sessions and special meetings throughout the General Plan Update process to receive project updates and discuss a variety of topics.
